Job summary

Genomics is seeking a Staff Front End Engineer in the UK to own the front end of our SaaS platform. You will collaborate with product, design and data teams to turn complex analytical output into intuitive user experiences, enabling scientists and clinicians to explore large genetic and health data efficiently.

You’ll ship high-quality TypeScript/React code, optimize data visualisation for large datasets and drive performance as the platform scales.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex front-end products using TypeScript and React.
• Strong background in data visualization and front-end performance on large datasets.
• Ability to own significant workstreams and communicate trade-offs clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own the front end of Genomics' SaaS platform end to end, from design through delivery.
• Build data visualization components that remain fast as data grows.
• Maintain performance as user and data volumes increase.
• Make sound technical decisions with minimal guidance and balance speed with maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams to turn analytics into clear UX.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to frontend best practices.
