Job summary

A leading tech firm in Nottingham is seeking a Staff Firmware Engineer to take technical ownership of embedded firmware across new and existing connected products. The ideal candidate will have strong embedded C/C++ experience and low-power systems knowledge, and will develop firmware for Nordic SoCs. This role offers the chance to integrate with various teams and ensure exceptional connectivity, while enjoying a hybrid working model with 2-3 days a week on-site in Nottingham.

Qualifications

• Deep embedded firmware experience (C/C++).
• Strong exposure to Nordic SoCs or similar low-power architectures.
• Experience with robust testing frameworks, bootloaders, OTA updates.

Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of embedded firmware across new and existing products.
• Develop and optimise C/C++ firmware for Nordic SoCs (nRF52/nRF53).
• Drive firmware standards, quality improvements, and testing best practice.
