Job summary

Ripjar is seeking Staff Engineers to own critical areas of the Labyrinth Screening SaaS platform. You will collaborate with global engineering teams and customers to drive scalable architecture and high-quality software.

We are a remote-first company with a UK-wide scope; candidates may work from Cheltenham or remotely. The Engineering team is responsible for delivering AI-driven risk screening at scale, supporting sanctions, AML/CTF, and other financial crime controls.

Qualifications

• Deep and broad software engineering experience and technical leadership.
• Experience with large-scale data processing systems and distributed architectures.
• Proven expertise in software design patterns, architecture, and production deployments.
• Ability to lead, mentor and grow technical teams across groups.
• Strong communication skills for diverse stakeholders and audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the software design and technology for a Labyrinth Screening technical area.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and customer stakeholders to define requirements and deliver high quality software.
• Influence architectural decisions and ensure consistency across Ripjar’s products.
• Take a leadership role in shaping engineering standards, patterns and approaches.
• Scale the Labyrinth Screening SaaS platform to support more customers and data.
