Job summary

Kohler Mira Ltd. in Cheltenham is seeking a Staff Engineer to shape the future of manufacturing operations.

You will own the delivery of new systems, drive efficiency, safety and quality, and mentor teams across production, quality and maintenance to deliver projects on time and within scope. Based at the Cheltenham site, you will work with cross-functional teams to implement improvements, reduce costs and ensure customer commitments.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering discipline or apprenticeship completed.
• Experience in assembly and test environments.
• Formal qualification in Six Sigma, project management and/or lean tools is beneficial.
• Experience with automated assembly equipment and OEE is beneficial.
• Able to communicate with and influence all levels of the organisation.
• Structured project management approach and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of new manufacturing systems and equipment to production lines on time and within safety/quality standards.
• Use data and trends to identify improvement initiatives and drive key metrics (SQDCP).
• Coach engineers and technicians in engineering best practices and problem solving.
• Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, safety, supply chain and product development in problem solving and capital projects.
• Identify root causes and implement timely, effective solutions.
