Hone is building AI engines that own outcomes, not tasks, and deploy themselves across customer systems. You will scope goals into engine specs, deploy engines live, and own a portfolio of accounts with engineering ownership, building systems that automate deployment and autonomous operation.

You will work with core teams to shape the roadmap based on customer feedback and usage, tackling hard problems in AI deployment at scale.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering, forward-deployed work, or equivalent depth from research/open source projects.
• Time at a fast-growing startup.
• A clear spike as an engineer or functional expert in AI-related areas.
• Built something from scratch and kept it in production.
• Strong fundamentals: APIs, auth, data pipelines, enterprise systems, agents.
• Able to turn ambiguous problems into clear specs and manage scope.
• Uses coding agents regularly and understands every line shipped.
• Builds and tinkers for fun because of genuine interest in how technology works.

Responsabilités

• Discovery with customer teams and scope into engine specs.
• Take engines live with customer teams, initial testing for autonomous operation.
• Operate engines that adapt their agents and code post-launch.
• Triaging customer asks into configurations and product fixes.
• Automate deployment and build internal tooling for use-case discovery and implementation.
• Collaborate with core engineering and product teams to inform roadmaps.
