Job summary

Restaurant Associates UK is seeking a Staff Dining Chef de Partie to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for managing a kitchen section, cooking and presenting dishes to exacting standards while adhering to food safety procedures.

You will lead and train junior staff, assist with orders and deliveries, and maintain cleanliness and proper equipment use in a busy environment. A passion for food service and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong cooking skills and ability to prepare complex dishes to refined standards.
• Experience in a similar role within professional kitchens.
• Passionate about working in a food service environment.
• Able to work positively with others as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all client and company health & safety procedures and standards at all times.
• Run a section of the kitchen to the required standards.
• Prepare, cook and present dishes to the required standards and portion specifications.
• Direct tasks and training for commis chefs or kitchen assistants in your section.
• Assist with processing of food orders and receiving deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding areas.
• Ensure correct use of all machinery and equipment.

What You'll Be Doing As a Chef De Partie

• Comply with all client and company health & safety procedures and standards at all times including adherence to food information regulations and food safety checks
• Run a section of the kitchen to the required standards
• Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to the required standards and portion specifications within your section/speciality
• Directing the tasks and training any commis chefs or kitchen assistants working in your section
• Assist with the processing of food orders
• Assist with the receipt and storage of deliveries
• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchens and surrounding working areas
• Ensure the correct use of all machinery and equipment

What you'll need to succeed as a Chef de Partie:

• Strong cooking skills - able to prepare complex food dishes in a refined way
• Experience in a similar role
• Passionate about working in a food service environment
• Able to work positively with others as part of a team

Desirable

• NVQ Lvl2/3 in professional cookery or equivalent
