Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design and build scalable data solutions within the BEAM Cloud Data Platform, partnering with product and delivery teams to democratise data across the business. You will lead a small squad of engineers, own complex ETL pipelines, and shape data frameworks and policies to improve quality and speed.

Qualifications

• Leadership mentality and business acumen.
• Expertise in cloud-based data technologies and data warehousing design (preferably Azure).
• Experience designing end-to-end data solutions and ETL tooling (Databricks, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain high-quality data solutions with automation in the cloud.
• Provide technical leadership to a small squad of engineers.
• Own complex backlog items and deliver consistently with minimal issues.
• Lead the development of M&S data frameworks and policies.
• Support engineers to produce clean, high-quality code via reviews and pairing.
• Design, develop and maintain scalable ETL pipelines aligned to business goals.
