Role Responsibilities: What you'll do

• Lead high-impact and large-scale technical projects across the tribe and domains
• Mentor engineers across the tribe and participate in hiring new talent
• Drive high-performing teams and foster collaboration
• Identify new areas and common problems to tackle
• Share knowledge internally and represent Personio at conferences & tech events

• We organize in cross-functional, mission-based teams with Engineers, Designers, Product Managers & Domain Leaders
• Our backend components are built with Kotlin, JVM, and Golang, dockerized and deployed on Kubernetes on AWS
• Our processes are fully automated, and we have a 'you built it, you run it' culture

Role Requirements: What you need to succeed

• Experience as a Staff Engineer or Principal
• Expertise in designing, developing, and operating business-critical distributed systems at scale
• Ability to craft and drive a technical strategy across multiple teams
• Strong communication skills for technical leadership
• Experience in hiring, mentoring, and developing engineers
• Hands-on approach with complex, high-impact problems
