Job summary

Anthropic in London is seeking an experienced software engineer for the Connectivity team to design, build, and operate the core infrastructure behind external tool calls, including the MCP proxy and OAuth/token management.

You will own reliability, implement admin controls for enterprise IT governance, and contribute to MCP standards and SDKs while steering complex, multi-month projects across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
• Field relevant to the role evidenced through coursework, training, or professional experience.
• Location-based hybrid policy: staff to be in offices at least 25% of the time; some roles may require more time.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate the core connectivity infrastructure behind external tool calls—the MCP proxy and the OAuth/token management systems.
• Own reliability for infrastructure with SLOs, on-call, incident response, and postmortems.
• Build admin controls and permission models for enterprise IT governance; contribute to the MCP standard and its SDKs.
• Scope complex, multi-month projects and drive cross-org alignment; partner with research to productize capabilities.
