Job summary

Archer Aviation seeks a Staff Android Engineer to own the Android app of a mature, production consumer product with a real user base that opens it every day. You’ll drive new features, refinements, and keep parity with iOS as the product evolves.

You’ll work across mobile, web apps and internal tools, taking on the non-glamourous parts like releases, crash triage and performance across a wide range of Android devices. This role thrives on ambiguity and rapid iteration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience for user-facing apps shipped to Play Store.
• Bachelor's or equivalent in Computer Science.
• Solid Kotlin experience and ability to reason about Compose.
• Real 0→1 experience building a first version of a product.

Responsibilities

• Own the Android app of a mature consumer product with a real user base.
• Maintain parity with iOS as features evolve across platforms.
• Ship Play Store releases and perform crash triage and performance work.
• Work on new projects across mobile, web apps, and internal tools.
• Embrace AI-assisted development and be fluent with Claude Code and agentic coding tools.
