Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an experienced ML/GenAI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize scalable AI solutions across AWS Bedrock and GCP Vertex AI. You will lead data pipelines, model training, and governance in a HIPAA-regulated environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enable impactful healthcare outcomes.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, architecture, and platform leadership, with a focus on secure, scalable systems and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field or experience.
• 7+ years in large-scale software development.
• 5+ years solution architecture or system design experience.
• 5+ years building microservices/APIs using Node.js/Java.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with GCP and AWS (serverless, event-driven, AI/ML).
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Drives development and implementation of advanced ML models and algorithms.
• Collaborates with data scientists, clinicians, and IT to prioritize initiatives.
• Defines performance metrics and evaluation methodologies for ML models.
• Designs scalable ML systems including data pipelines and feature engineering.
• Optimizes data pipelines, model training, and infrastructure for efficiency.
• Communicates findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, privacy, and security requirements.
• Mentors engineers and develops reusable platform patterns.
• Keeps up-to-date with latest ML tech and approaches.
