Job summary

MDD Forensic Accountants in London seeks a German-speaking Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is hybrid working 3-4 days a week from our London office.

Responsibilities include data analysis, inventory observation, document examinations, and interviews to gather information. Candidates should have a degree in accounting and be proficient in German, with a willingness to pursue ACA or CIMA and contribute to client engagements.

Qualifications

• Soon to be, or recent Bachelors and/or Masters degree graduate, ideally in Accounting (or similar)
• The ability to communicate at a professional level in both written and verbal German
• Working towards, or willingness to work towards a professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA

• Preliminary to intermediate analysis of sales, production and other accounting data
• Physical inventory observation, price testing
• Examination of source documents pertinent to engagement
• Check and proof reports and schedules
• Conduct phone, video or in person interviews to obtain information
• Research, data analysis and evaluation

• Attend marketing events and functions with clients
• Adhoc tasks as per business requirements

• Working towards, or willingness to work towards a professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA
• Ability to understand (or previous experience of) how loss events impact a business
• Demonstrable attention to detail and analytical skills
• Tenacious in solving problems and getting to the root cause of issues
• Demonstrable ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and in sometimes pressurised environments
