Job description

Job Title: Staff Accountant - EMEA

Location: Remote in the UK (with ability to travel to London or Leeds as needed)

BlueVoyant, a respected international cyber defense company, is seeking a Staff Accountant to expand our accounting and finance team in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Finance Manager with period-end closing, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
  2. Assist in financial reporting in accordance with local GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP.
  3. Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries for European entities.
  4. Manage intercompany reconciliations and fixed asset accounting.
  5. Post and reconcile banking transactions.
  6. Perform accounts receivable and payable transactions, including invoicing.
  7. Assist with tax return preparation, VAT, and other regulatory filings.
  8. Support system implementation related to financial reporting systems.
Preferred Competencies:
  • Design and maintain internal controls, systems, and procedures for accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for annual financial audits.
Qualifications:
  • Educational background in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • European accounting certification or equivalent (in progress or achieved).
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards for multinational corporations; Big 4 experience is a plus.
  • High work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
