Job summary

Driver Hire Carlisle is currently recruiting for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) on a long term ongoing basis with our client in the Cockermouth area. This is a great opportunity for a HGV driver looking for steady, ongoing role with a possibility of temp-perm after 12 weeks.

The role involves operating a HGV Class 2 vehicle, delivering catering supplies to commercial and industrial premises. Start times from 02:30am-06:00am; 5 out of 6 days including Saturdays; overtime paid after 8 hours;

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with Category C (Class 2) entitlement.
• Minimum 1 year experience.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Strong understanding of site safety and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver catering supplies to commercial and industrial premises.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and start work early.
• Work 5 out of 6 days, including Saturdays; average shifts 10–12 hours.
• Overtime paid after 8 hours and maintain professional representation of client and Driver Hire Carlisle.
