About the Role

We are seeking dynamic and motivatedST3+ level doctorsto join our vibrant Emergency Departments atWhipps Cross University HospitalorNewham University Hospital, part of the renownedBarts Health NHS Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of the busiest and most diverse A&E departments in the UK, where no two days are the same. You’ll gain hands-on experience in a wide range of emergency presentations, supported by a strong consultant presence and a dedicated teaching program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage emergency presentations across all ED areas (Resus, Majors, Minors, Paediatrics, CDU)
  • Supervise and support junior doctors and work collaboratively with nursing and allied health professionals
  • Participate in teaching, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain CPD and contribute to departmental governance and learning

About You

Essential:

  • MBChB or equivalent
  • Full GMC registration
  • Minimum 6 months paid NHS experience in Emergency Medicine
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends

Desirable:

  • MRCEM, MRCP, or MRCS
  • Experience in clinical audit or research
  • Enthusiasm for teaching and service development
