Job description

Whittington Health are recruiting for an experienced and motivated ST3 Medical Registrar to join their highly skilled team.

Whittington Health is a new organisation that is ambitious and innovative. We will build on the openness and transparency we have with GPs, community and council partners. Whittington Health evolved from the joining of Islington and Haringey community services including social care in Islington, and the Whittington Hospital. We deliver acute and community services for adults and children, primarily to the residents of Islington and Haringey and also to other London boroughs, including Barnet, Enfield and Camden.

The appointee will be expected to participate fully in the department with opportunity to attend specialist clinics and gain additional skills.

These opportunities include:

· Advanced Antenatal Practice including growth scans and obstetric scanning.

· Fetal Medicine · Colposcopy · Vulval Disease

· Urogynaecology

· Fertility

· Specialist endometriosis/Laparoscopy

· Menopause · Hysteroscopy

· Early Pregnancy Care and Gynaecological Ultrasound

· Medical Education · Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement

The applicant will also be expected to cover the on-call rota at a senior Registrar level working within a team to provide safe clinical care.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBBS MRCOG Part 2 GMC Registration Experience in the NHS or equivalent
  • Experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Interest in and knowledge of clinical audit
  • Evidence of participation in teaching in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • High ethical/professional standards
  • Ability to take part in undergraduate teaching
  • A willingness to be flexible to meet the changing needs of the service and the NHS
