The postholder will provide essential administrative support across the Property team, helping to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations and compliance activities. It plays a key part in coordinating staff records, managing systems, liaising with contractors, and supporting health and safety processes – all within the unique setting of a historic and operational Cathedral.

As part of the team, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing general administrative support, including meeting coordination and minute-taking
  • Maintaining accurate records of annual leave, training, sickness, and timesheets
  • Managing internal systems, including our CAFM (VisionPro) and SharePoint filing
  • Coordinating contractor access, compliance checks, and service schedules
  • Supporting financial processes such as raising purchase orders and reconciling credit card spend
  • Logging incidents, scheduling health surveillance and training, and tracking PPE allocation

We Are Looking For You To Have

  • Significant administrative experience, ideally within facilities management, construction, or a related setting
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, especially Excel and SharePoint. Experience of Adobe InDesign desirable
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to prioritise your workload
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the chance to support the upkeep and preservation of a globally recognised site.

The successful applicant will also be expected to share in St Paul’s Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

In return you’ll find we are a welcoming place to work and we each take responsibility for our part in the Cathedral’s work, looking after St Paul’s for the next generation.

  • Our annual holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays
  • Our pension scheme allows for up to 7.5% employer contribution
  • And as you might expect we have life assurance of four times basic salary and an employee assistance programme

We are committed to creating and sustaining a diverse and inclusive workforce that represents our context and wider community. We are aware that those of United Kingdom Minority Ethnic / Global Majority Heritage, women, and disabled people are currently under-represented in our workforce, and we particularly encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and experience that will increase our representation.
