Job overview

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Research Fellow to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a diverse workload and possess in-depth knowledge of research governance and regulatory compliance. The Research Fellow will join the St Mark's clinical team to work on commercial studies under the NIHR London North West Commercial Research Delivery Centre umbrella. The post holder will work closely with NHS Research Infrastructure, academic, and industry partners to strengthen collaboration, ensure regulatory compliance, and enhance research capacity. They will also support budget holder responsibilities within R&I and represent our CRDC at relevant network meetings.

Main duties of the job

The post will provide the opportunity to undertake a variety of daytime activities as part of this role. The core element of this role is to support clinical trial work within St Mark's Hospital. St Mark's team participates in multiple research projects, and post holder will be expected to support the delivery of those projects under the supervision of the named supervisor, Professor Ailsa Hart in this case. Additional clinical activities may include
  1. Weekly IBD clinics and/or Transition clinics, Gastro wards cover, IBD day unit cover under the supervision of Professor Ailsa Hart.
  2. Post-holder might also be asked to assist their supervisor in weekly endoscopy list.
