Site Services Officer (SSO) - Olympic Primary

40 hours per week (7am - 11am, 2pm - 6pm Monday to Friday)

Grade F points 6 to 7 (FTE £25,183.00 - 25,584.00)

The Lion Academy Trust comprises four schools in the Wellingborough Hub: Warwick Academy, Ruskin Academy, Ruskin Infant & Nursery, and Olympic Primary Academy. We are seeking a diligent and enthusiastic individual to join our Site Services Team at Olympic Primary NN8 3QA.

The Site Services Officer will support the Operations Manager, Parent Advisory Board, and Head of School in maintaining a clean, secure, and well-maintained environment. Responsibilities include janitorial tasks, ensuring safety, and supporting the educational and emotional welfare of staff and pupils. Key duties include:

  • Site Security
  • Energy Management
  • Grounds & Site Maintenance
  • Environmental Management
  • Line management of a small team of Cleaning Operatives

The role requires undertaking minor DIY and maintenance tasks, supporting cleaning teams and porterage, and overseeing external contractors when necessary.

Ideal candidates will be flexible, adaptable, and possess a positive, can-do attitude. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, diligence, and a solution-focused approach are essential, along with adherence to Trust policies and procedures.

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with an annual holiday entitlement of 26 days, increasing to 31 days after five years of service. During school term times, hours are split (7am-11am and 2pm-6pm), but during school holidays, hours are generally 8am-4pm in a single shift.
