Job summary

Holland & Barrett is seeking an experienced SRE Manager to lead a high‑performing Site Reliability Engineers team. You will shape the SRE roadmap in collaboration with the Head of Platform, champion modern practices and drive reliability, observability, and automation across our cloud platforms and digital services.

You will partner with Engineering, Security, Data and Product teams to embed operational excellence from design through production, balancing reliability with innovation to deliver

Qualifications

• Experience leading Site Reliability Engineering or Platform/DevOps teams.
• Strong cloud-native expertise with AWS and modern engineering practices.
• Experience operating large-scale distributed systems.
• Proven coaching and mentoring ability for engineers.
• Experience driving observability, automation and operational excellence.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across Engineering, Product, Security and Data.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing team of Site Reliability Engineers.
• Shape and deliver the SRE roadmap alongside the Head of Platform.
• Champion modern engineering practices including SLIs, SLOs and incident budgets.
• Improve reliability, scalability and performance of cloud platforms and services.
• Partner with Engineering, Security, Data and Product teams to embed operational excellence.
• Drive adoption of observability platforms and bake in health insights across services.
• Lead incident learning and automation initiatives to reduce toil.
• Provide technical leadership across AWS, Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD and distributed systems.
