SRB Teacher - Vale of Glamorgan

Contract Type: Temporary
Daily Rate: £166.32 (increases dependent on experience, qualifications, and client rate)

Are you an experienced and compassionate educator with a strong background in supporting learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)? Academics is currently recruiting for a Specialist Resource Base, SRB Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in the Vale of Glamorgan.

About the Role:

  • Lead teaching and learning within a dedicated SRB classroom, working with small groups of pupils with significant ALN.

  • Develop and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to individual education plans (IEPs).

  • Work collaboratively with support staff, ALNCOs, external specialists, and parents/carers.

  • Promote a nurturing, structured, and inclusive environment that supports each pupil's progress and well-being.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and individual pupil strategies.



Essential Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Enhanced DBS (registered on the Update Service)
EWC registration (Education Workforce Council)
Strong, demonstrable experience working with pupils with ALN, ideally in an SRB or specialist setting
Excellent understanding of differentiated instruction and inclusive practice

Desirable: Additional training in autism, trauma-informed approaches, or other relevant ALN specialisms
