Sr. Technical Program Manager, Global Installments Lending (GIL)

Global Installment Lending (GIL) is part of Amazon Payments organization. We focus on delivering customer-centric solutions that benefit Customers, Amazon, and our Bank Partners.

We are seeking a motivated Sr. Technical Program Manager to help deliver core components of our Installment systems, which are used across 14+ countries. Join us to make an impact!

Key job responsibilities
  1. Own complex programs with broad cross-organizational and architectural impact.
  2. Lead large engineering efforts to solve challenging problems for internal teams and external partners.
  3. Identify risks and opportunities in technical strategies and architecture.
  4. Scope, plan, implement, and deliver projects, collaborating with program managers and senior leaders to align with strategic goals.
  5. Drive cross-functional projects, build partnerships, and work proactively with business teams to meet security objectives.
  6. Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms.
  7. Support deep dive assessments and data analysis requests.
  8. Deliver findings, recommendations, and remediation steps.
About the team

The GIL team manages systems that enable installments for Amazon customers worldwide. We focus on maintaining speed, scalability, and performance while delivering innovative features, owning and enhancing a critical customer experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product or program management.
  • 7+ years working directly with engineering teams.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes, and coordinating releases.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years in project management, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
  • Experience managing projects across teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating releases.
  • Experience defining KPIs/SLA's for multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to leadership.
