Sr. Tax Analyst - Worldwide Tax Reporting, Tax Provision

Amazon is seeking a talented Senior Tax Analyst to join its Income Tax Provision and Reporting tax team.
The Amazon tax department is a fast-paced, team-focused, dynamic environment. This position will contribute to Amazon’s worldwide income tax accounting process for interim and annual reporting periods. Immerse yourself in the most intriguing tax issues facing Amazon on a worldwide scale!


Key job responsibilities
- Prepare global tax calculations and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation for Amazon's worldwide operations
- Drive worldwide tax account reconciliations and develop detailed roll forward analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Operate and optimize tax technology systems while evaluating emerging solutions to enhance efficiency
- Prepare analytics for external auditors and senior finance management teams
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and business partners to obtain appropriate information
- Proactively identify areas for process improvements and implement solutions to streamline the tax accounting processes
- Partner with stakeholders to evaluate new technologies and implement automated solutions
- Own month-end close processes and deliverables while ensuring timely completion
- Assist in special projects focused on tax optimization and process enhancement


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications at an advanced level
- 4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- CPA
- Experience working in a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
- Knowledge of at least one data-focused technology tool, such as Python, SQL, Alteryx, Amazon QuickSight, or similar

The base pay for this position ranges from $57,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $123,500/year in our highest geographic market.
