Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all our customers by ensuring that their orders, no matter how large or small, are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, safe, and cost-effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon is continually striving to innovate and provide best-in-class delivery experiences through the introduction of pioneering new products and services in the Last Mile Delivery space.

A successful candidate will be analytical, resourceful, customer-focused, team-oriented, and able to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The candidate will have a proven track record in end-to-end ownership, extensive procurement experience, and successfully managing and developing highly effective teams.

This role will require the ability to travel 10–20% of the time.

  2. Manage annual sourcing process (RFP) in collaboration with cross-functional teams to secure future capacity at optimal terms.

  4. Full ownership of Amazon's multimillion van spend including senior leadership sign-off.
  5. Central EU ownership of suppliers including performance management and central escalations requiring leadership involvement.
  6. Challenge partners on timelines, quality of service, and other potential bottlenecks.
  7. Use databases and analytical tools to make data-based decisions.
  8. Internalize goals and work independently to create appropriate action plans for those goals.
  9. Communicate effectively so all stakeholders understand the direction and vision and are aligned.
  10. Proactively engage with all areas of the organization to identify inter-dependencies, mutually beneficial goals, and influence leadership.

A day in the life

  1. Maintaining existing supplier relationships and growing the partnerships through volume increases YoY, negotiating commercial terms, and increasing supplier involvement in key initiatives.
  2. Conducting regular meetings with suppliers to ensure all are on track to deliver the offered volumes, as well as negotiating cancellations.
  3. Creating and closing work order contracts for volumes and services across the EU and ensuring they are compliant with legal, tax, and accounting standards.
  4. Managing a supplier database and ensuring it contains the necessary supplier information for Fleet teams and the wider organization. This includes updating the account information, supplier escalation matrix, rate cards, and offer information.
  5. Working with Global Corporate Procurement to enable best practices and efficiencies throughout the procurement process.
  6. Acting as a POC for all internal stakeholders on any matter related to fleet, which include supporting the Payments team, Fleet Execution and Deployment team, Central Operations for escalations, Finance, and Fleet planning.
