Job Description:

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes, and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed - we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. We work on large scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day, and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe, and their lives moving forward. We're also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We're always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation, and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community, and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. One component is a "sensor", which is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud.

The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer's network, can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, and presents our customers' operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

Join CrowdStrike and become a key leader in building the most innovative endpoint security solution in the world.

Our sensor development team is responsible for building the endpoint sensor which deploys on multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, and Linux. As a Senior Windows Software Engineer, you will own major components and development projects, assist with architecting solutions, and support the implementation of our core features. Features will cross-cut most core OS subsystems such as file system, memory, process, and networking. Many features are built in a way that they share components across multiple platforms. You need to lead projects efficiently while maximizing performance and minimizing costs, ensuring high standards in design, coding quality, and testing.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the sensor development team on architecture, strategy, and building/improving next-generation Anti-Virus and Detection & Response Security Software
  • Develop new product concepts
  • Support development teams in designing and building cross-platform software (Windows, Mac, Linux)
  • Own features from design to delivery, including participating in product demos at the end of sprints
  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations

What You'll Need:

  • Deep knowledge of C++ and Windows OS Kernel Development
  • Strong understanding of low-level OS internals in Windows, Mac OS, or Linux
  • Experience debugging memory corruption, process contention, and system performance issues
  • Experience shipping major features and releases with teams
  • Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, and work effectively in a distributed team

Preferred Requirements:

  • OS system expertise in core concepts and subsystems
  • Knowledge in Security
  • Background in scalable, lightweight, high-performance systems
  • Experience with Agile processes
