Job description

Senior Sales Manager - NA Flexible Packaging

The Senior Sales Manager is a key member of the NA Flexible Packaging commercial team with direct sales responsibility for 3-5 key accounts. The role involves developing and executing a growth sales strategy in the region to increase market share. The manager will lead in customer-specific commercial proposal development, defining the value proposition to be executed by the sales team, and will interact with NA Sales, Account Managers, R&D, Technical Support, Marketing, and Product Management.

Key Activities
  1. Utilize market share data to establish customer-specific targets and commercial proposals aligned with the Business Director.
  2. Communicate targets and proposals to the sales team, providing coaching on how to sell the value proposition.
  3. Manage all aspects of key account management at the 3-5 direct accounts, including share gain and growth initiatives.
  4. Train and assist the Business Director in coaching the regional sales force on sales growth strategies.
  5. Support the sales team in critical cases requiring greater expertise to close deals.
  6. Provide tracking tools for share gain targets to facilitate accountability and global reporting.
  7. Identify and foster relationships with key contacts at customer accounts, mapping decision makers and understanding customer strategies and motivations.
  8. Align product and service offerings with customer needs, introduce new products/services when necessary, and participate in project evaluations.
  9. Propose improvements to optimize customer operations and develop value-added solutions.
Accountabilities
  1. Interact proactively with business, supply chain, customer service, and R&D contacts to ensure effective communication and problem resolution.
  2. Maintain proficiency in Arkema-Bostik products and solutions.
Qualifications / Experience
  • 10+ years of sales experience in Flexible Lamination Adhesives and Coatings markets.
  • Cross-cultural experience and familiarity with matrix organizations across broader geographical areas.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and listening skills.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to operate at a senior level within a global organization.
  • Proven relationship management skills with strategic and global stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent prioritization and follow-up skills.
  • Leadership qualities: coaching, change management, self-starter, enthusiastic.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.
