The Team

CF Benchmarks Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kraken, is the leading provider of cryptocurrency benchmarks and indices. Its indices are licensed to global financial institutions for creating financial products such as ETFs, investment funds, exchange-traded and OTC derivatives contracts. The firm boasts over $90bn in Assets Under Reference from industry-leading partners such as BlackRock, CME Group, Franklin Templeton, ChinaAMC, and Bitwise. We believe that robust indices of high integrity are essential to the development of the cryptocurrency asset class and its continued adoption by individual and institutional investors.

We are seeking a new Sr. Sales & BD Lead to join our team in Europe! We’re looking for highly ambitious and driven sales professionals to lead CF Benchmarks sales initiatives for our suite of index products. The primary goal of this role is to expand our client base, drive new revenue, and support our clients' success. You will have complete ownership of the end-to-end sales process, offering our product suite and building lasting partnerships with clients.

You will play a key role in executing and refining the firm's go-to-market strategy, working closely with the index content and marketing teams to achieve commercial objectives. You will also gather market intelligence and provide strategic feedback to shape the firm's product development strategy and pipeline. This role offers a remarkable opportunity for a motivated sales professional to influence the future of crypto from a leading position at a powerhouse brand.

The Opportunity

  • Lead the CF Benchmarks sales effort across Europe, driving client acquisition and volume growth for the CF Benchmarks product suite.
  • Generate, filter, and pursue client leads through inbound and outbound activities, supporting team efforts.
  • Manage a portfolio of institutional clients, building trust-based relationships and demonstrating value.
  • Identify new opportunities for the company's indices and data in both cryptocurrency and traditional financial industries.
  • Represent CF Benchmarks at industry events across Europe, participating in client meetings, conferences, and strategic engagements.
  • Collaborate with content and marketing teams to convert brand awareness into tangible business opportunities.

Skills you should HODL

  • +5 years of experience in traditional finance sales, with a proven track record of driving sales and expanding business within the institutional segment. Crypto-native experience is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of indices' use cases and market participants, and knowledge of complex financial products.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of cryptocurrency regulations and ability to navigate evolving frameworks; familiarity with EU BMR is a plus.
  • Strong personal network within the financial services sector, especially with institutional and corporate clients.
  • Interest in the cryptocurrency world and a willingness to learn about new industry trends.
  • Alignment with Kraken’s crypto, cypherpunk, and libertarian values, as outlined in our Tentacles document.
  • Located in Europe or the UK, fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
