Sr Quality Specialist, North America Debit Balance collection
Amazon is seeking an experienced candidate for a role in the Global Quality Control function for Finance Operations. The major goal of this function is to identify risks in finance processes and report the performance of operations from a quality perspective. Additionally, this role involves root cause analysis of identified defects and partnering with the business to improve service quality.
This position requires a proactive, highly motivated individual with a keen eye for detail, high customer obsession, process improvement skills, and the ability to motivate and manage people.
Key job responsibilities
- Identify root causes for downstream impacts, collaborate with FinOps process SMEs and Tech teams to implement Corrective-Preventive Actions, and identify automation opportunities.
- Analyze process gaps, recommend solutions, and influence inter-departmental decisions.
- Create dashboards using Tableau and SQL, analyze data for patterns, and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to generate and implement improvement ideas through auditing.
- Communicate issues and ideas clearly through verbal and written means.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all processes to become a Subject Matter Expert.
- Address reported issues, drive resolutions, coach associates, and engage the Training team and leadership as needed.
- Monitor and report on Quality metrics, perform deep dives, and identify trends and root causes.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to adopt best practices and enhance performance.
- Recommend, own, and drive performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead improvement projects through to implementation.
- Support the rollout of new policies and processes with measurable results.
- Provide a holistic view of customer performance and identify levers for improvement.
- Deliver insights into performance drivers and impact levers.
- Implement and own action plans to drive performance improvements.
- Utilize quality monitoring systems to track team and individual performance.
- Identify and champion process improvement ideas to enhance productivity and quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of finance experience
- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable experience
- 2+ years of applying financial KPIs to analysis
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Background in corporate finance including budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years participating in continuous improvement projects with measurable results
- Experience with TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL
