Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components, and conduct analysis on relative reliability considering cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Our teams develop, implement, and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations, recommending corrective actions when necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and industry standards related to product environmental compliance, technical and testing standards, quality control, and reliability programs, optimizing material and labor, and conducting failure analysis, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and customer communication.

What your background should look like:

Role Statement:

The QMS Quality Engineer shall oversee all aspects of the AD&M quality system, ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves working with critical processes within the AD&M sites, focusing on continuous improvement and driving a zero-defect culture. Responsibilities include liaising with auditing organizations, regulatory authorities, supporting internal audits, rolling out global procedures, conducting training, and reporting on quality performance and compliance, providing support to enable manufacturing within regulatory guidelines.

Key tasks of the job:

  • Represent the quality management system
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory certifications, TE Global QMS / 1AD&M, and customer requirements
  • Manage third-party audits and certifications, addressing observations, non-conformances, and corrective actions
  • Manage internal audit programs, ensuring effective closure of non-conformances and opportunities for improvement
  • Support the rollout of global procedures to standardize processes across TE AD&M
  • Review quality management system and compliance documentation
  • Maintain procedures and work instructions to reflect best practices
  • Promote awareness and understanding of policies and procedures through training
  • Report quality metrics regularly to management
  • Identify gaps, drive change, and develop solutions collaboratively
  • Review ongoing improvement actions with operational and supply chain management
  • Engage with sites on TECHs (TE Complaint Handling Systems), report KPIs, and handle administrative tasks
  • Deliver quality assurance training as needed

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Experience in an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Significant experience in a Quality Management role
  • Knowledge of change control processes
  • Experience developing relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Proven Six Sigma and Lean experience
  • Strong knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100, and IATF16949 standards
  • Practical experience with quality tools like 8D, FMEA, 5Y, FAI, PPAP, and APQP
  • Experience with regulatory requirements in manufacturing
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the EMEA region
