Sr. Product Marketing Manager - Developer Ecosystem

We are seeking a highly strategic and technically skilled Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead our developer ecosystem. In this role, you will drive adoption, engagement, and growth of Smartsheet's developer platform and API capabilities. You will serve as the voice of the developer community, translating complex technical features into compelling value propositions for developers, partners, and technical decision-makers.

This position requires a unique mix of technical knowledge, product marketing expertise, and enthusiasm for building vibrant developer communities. You will collaborate with product management, engineering, sales, and external partners to ensure our developer offerings are well-understood, accessible, and enable customers to extend and integrate Smartsheet into their workflows.

You will report to the Director of Product Marketing, Enterprise and the role is based at Smartsheet’s London office, with hybrid or remote UK options.

Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with Product Management, conduct market research, and leverage customer insights to influence product development, ensure product-market fit, and align with strategic goals.
  • Create clear, compelling messaging and positioning tailored to various developer personas (e.g., enterprise developers, system integrators, SaaS partners).
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, including communications for new API features, SDKs, developer tools, and platform updates.
  • Produce impactful marketing content such as presentations, blog posts, thought leadership articles, case studies, and website copy to highlight the capabilities of the Smartsheet platform.
  • Communicate technical details about API updates, releases, and deprecations, including writing release notes and collaborating on developer documentation and API guides.
  • Support sales and customer success teams with tools, training, and content to articulate the value of our developer platform to technical audiences.
  • Define key performance metrics, monitor results, and report on the success of developer-focused marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in marketing or product marketing, with at least 3 years focused on developer platforms, APIs, SDKs, or cloud integrations.
  • Experience launching technical products, including messaging, content creation, and go-to-market planning.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, web technologies (REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks), cloud platforms, and integration patterns, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear language.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical skills to interpret market data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing detailed execution with strategic thinking.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Legal right to work in the UK on an ongoing basis.
