Amazon’s Tax Engine organization is building the next generation of solutions to shape the way that we calculate, collect, and invoice tax information as one of the world’s largest collectors of online indirect taxes and fees. The Tax Engine organization’s mission is to ensure that Amazon has the right technology and processes to remain accurate and adaptable in a rapidly changing business and tax environment.

We are looking for a Sr Product Manager - Technical to join us in London and help build the future of Tax Engine’s document printing product, responsible for generating billions of business-critical documents (e.g., tax invoices, commercial, and transport documents) annually. As a Sr Product Manager, you will identify and execute opportunities to develop impactful solutions and features that meet customer needs and foster business growth.

We seek a dynamic, entrepreneurial product manager passionate about solving complex problems and thriving in a fast-paced environment. This high-visibility role requires clear, compelling communication across all company levels. You will measure business impact by analyzing metrics, linking inputs to outcomes, and working backwards from customer needs. A positive attitude and strong work ethic are essential; you must work efficiently, adapt, and iterate quickly in highly ambiguous situations, bringing clarity and simplicity through prototyping.

Key job responsibilities

1. Lead the development and execution of high-quality feature roadmaps aligned with product strategy and vision.
2. Explain how product features impact strategic value, usability, and performance of the document printing product.
3. Prioritize and manage trade-offs among customer experience, scope, and time to market.
4. Coordinate product planning and development with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and business partners.
5. Create detailed user stories with acceptance criteria based on customer needs and business requirements.
6. Define and analyze metrics to measure and benchmark product success.
7. Identify trends and challenges in tax technology to influence future strategy and vision.

A day in the life

As a Sr Product Manager - Tech in Tax Engine, your day involves meetings and strategic, tactical work. You’ll engage with customers and teams across product, engineering, UX, tax, and legal to understand needs and implications for the document printing product. You will own your feature roadmap from requirements to implementation, collaborating across teams to ensure delivery. You’ll work with the Tax Engine engineering team to design scalable technology solutions supporting Amazon’s business and compliance needs. Your work directly impacts the future product portfolio of the Tax Engine organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience owning or driving roadmap strategy and definition
• Experience contributing to engineering discussions on technology decisions and strategy
• Experience in technical product management, program management, or engineering
• Experience owning feature delivery and managing trade-offs
• Experience with end-to-end product delivery

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience performing statistical data analysis using SQL, Excel, etc.
• Experience building and analyzing cost/benefit scenarios and business cases, and communicating results organization-wide.
