The Process Improvement Specialist III (PIS) collaborates with the FC Senior Leadership Team and maintains strong relationships with EU PE and other central functions. This role drives high-quality initiatives that embed lean culture within operational teams, aiming to instill meaningful lean knowledge and approaches in our fulfillment network. PIS focuses on promoting impactful, quality work with deep-level PE involvement that significantly improves our FC operations by minimizing PE and Ops dilution across initiatives. Key job responsibilities
  1. Deliver Lean trainings and support sites in implementing Lean methodology to enable Operations to apply it autonomously in daily business activities (e.g., facilitating high-quality Kaizen events, preparing Value Stream Mapping to identify and eliminate wastes)
  2. Lead high-impact continuous improvement projects (Kaizen, Kaikaku, FMEA, etc.) including auditing of implemented actions to ensure sustainability and realization of benefits
  3. Mentor participants of Lean Six Sigma trainings and Kaizen leaders through their projects
  4. Partner with the Learning team to develop tailored Lean Learning Ecosystem structures and training materials
  5. During event weeks, be deployed to the site management operational team as needed
  6. Travel as required within your area of responsibility, estimated at 0-15% domestically and regionally (subject to change based on business needs)
About the team

The EU Process Engineering (EU PE) team is dedicated to process stabilization, standardization, and continuous improvement within the EU Customer Fulfillment Network. The team aims to establish best-in-class process performance, accelerate technological advancements, and enhance the technical knowledge of operational leaders across the FC network. They work closely with Process System Engineering, ACES (Amazon Customer Excellence System - Operational Excellence), Central Ops, launch teams, operations engineering, and RME teams to improve process metrics and resource allocation.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification
