Description

The Amazon Private Brands Sustainability team is seeking an experienced and dynamic product manager to lead efforts in reducing the environmental and social impacts of our products and supply chains.

Our vision is for Amazon Private Brands to positively impact society and the environment, contributing more than we take. The team defines and operationalizes environmental and social sustainability standards across various business units over a multi-year horizon. We support functional teams in achieving sustainability goals, complying with regulations, and more, through expertise, education, tools, data, and program management mechanisms.

As the Senior Product Manager, Sustainability Regulatory Readiness, you will scan global sustainability regulations, advise sourcing and environmental teams, assess business readiness, and collaborate with compliance teams to ensure effective execution. This role involves working closely with Amazon's central and private brand teams, including Legal, Compliance, Public Policy, Finance, and product & technology teams worldwide. It requires a high degree of backbone and collaboration to solve complex problems in an evolving environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop sustainability regulation readiness programs aligned with regulatory and business objectives.
2. Build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external service providers supporting sustainability initiatives.
3. Engage with Public Policy and Legal teams to monitor, influence, and interpret upcoming regulations.
4. Analyze emerging regulatory trends and inform strategic planning.
5. Guide internal product and technology teams to influence system designs and services.
6. Coordinate supplier communication strategies with Sourcing and Compliance teams.
7. Integrate compliance and sustainability objectives into new product development processes.
8. Participate in other sustainability initiatives as needed.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
2. Experience in roadmap strategy and definition.
3. Experience delivering product features and managing trade-offs.
4. Experience with product cycles longer than 6 months.
5. Background in product or program management, marketing, business development, or technology.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience working across functions and with senior stakeholders.
2. Ability to influence leadership through data-driven insights.
3. Experience in sustainability or government regulation compliance.
