Job Summary

The key responsibilities of the Sr. Network Engineer include developing network designs, strategic plans, standards, roadmaps, and other key technology plans for deploying secure, high-performance networking solutions across the enterprise. The Sr. Network Engineer is responsible for understanding and interpreting global business and technical requirements to develop advanced network solutions. This role does not have any direct reports.

Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000

*Position is eligible to participate in a bonus plan with a target of 6% of the base salary (include only if applicable to the grade level)

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate network architectures, roadmaps, design standards, and strategy plans; participate in RFPs and develop tactical and operational plans.
• Provide a unified, multi-disciplinary technology framework to guide the evolution of the global networks.
• Design complex new technology solutions for deployment into the production network.
• Research and recommend next-generation network technology, products, & services.
• Design customized solutions to support business objectives.
• Consult with peer groups on project plans & architectures.
• Mentor architects and engineers, fostering their development and ownership of critical technology solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Units and Security technologists to understand and translate technical requirements into solutions.
• Present solution alternatives to leadership and Business Units, considering technical, financial, process, security, and support aspects.
• Identify gaps and areas for improvement to optimize operations and customer experience.
• Monitor technological advancements for opportunities to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
• Provide technical and project leadership/mentorship to engineers.
• Develop and support enterprise WLAN, LAN, WAN, and remote access solutions.
• Develop standards, procedures, and documentation to guide technical teams.
• Build network infrastructure in data centers.
• Ensure compliance with company policies on health, safety, environment, energy, and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred.
• Advanced certifications in Networking, Cloud, and Security (e.g., CISSP, CCIE, CSSLP) or equivalent education.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a multinational enterprise environment operating 24/7 services.
• Experience in operations, implementation, design, and architecture.
• Technical leadership in large, complex global enterprises.
• Experience designing large-scale, secure, high-performance data networks.
• Expertise in Cloud, Security, and Networking domains.
• Experience with multiple vendor products (Cisco and others).
• Hands-on technical experience.
• Effective communication skills at multiple technical levels.
• Knowledge of technologies, solutions, and vendors.
• Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, and cloud service provider networking.
• Knowledge of data center network architecture, automation, virtualization, and orchestration.
• Excellent organization, communication, interpersonal skills, and customer focus.
• Flexibility, attention to detail, and action orientation.
• International travel (15%) required.
