What is the opportunity?

In the role of Senior Manager Engineering Critical Environments, your objective is to provide strategic management and direction, including optimization of all critical infrastructure Engineering within the RBC EMEA / APAC portfolio. You will work in partnership with other members of the Critical Environments EMEA / APAC team for the effective running of the portfolio, reporting to the Director of CE Operations.

The role is office-based and requires 4 days in the office per week.

What will you do?

  • Ensure 100% uptime of Critical Environments within Europe & Asia.
  • Respond to emergency situations both in and out of hours, communicating with stakeholders and management through RBC-defined processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in mechanical and electrical engineering, including UPS, emergency power generators, HVAC, building controls, and fire suppression systems.
  • Lead support for UK/EMEA/APAC Critical Environment Engineering & Colo Data Centers.
  • Develop and review technical standards, policies, procedures, and documentation to support CE Engineering Operations, ensuring alignment with business needs, industry standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Provide technical review of MOP/EOP processes across EMEA/APAC for standardization.
  • Support audit and compliance efforts within CE EMEA/APAC, providing technical review and sign-off.
  • Oversee the Critical Environment Preventative Maintenance Program from an engineering perspective.
  • Develop reliable and cost-effective solutions, technical standards, and policies supporting the Critical Facility.

  • Understanding of Audit, Risk, and Compliance practices.
  • Strong analytical and written communication skills.

  • Proven planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Engineering and IT Systems.
