Job description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to customers and communities around the world. The Project Kuiper Marketing team is looking for a talented, results-oriented individual to lead media planning in Europe, with a strong background in media planning, budget management, and campaign measurement. This role is responsible for planning, buying, measuring, and optimizing media investments across multiple channels and locales, in partnership with our media agency.

The ideal candidate for this role is entrepreneurial and able to work effectively in a matrixed organization. We are looking for someone customer-obsessed and adept at building and executing effective large-scale marketing campaigns that drive awareness, consideration, and demand. This role is based in our London, UK office.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Lead the strategic planning, implementation, and measurement of integrated multi-channel campaigns designed to drive awareness, consideration, and demand for Project Kuiper.
  2. Coordinate media across multiple European locales.
  3. Collaborate with Marketing Intelligence teams to measure the impact of media investment and regularly report on performance to the Director level, adjusting strategies as needed.
  4. Work with stakeholders from various functions (business, finance, insights and measurement, creative, and other marketing teams) at local, regional, and global levels.
  5. Partner with external media agencies for media planning and buying support.
  6. Manage the campaign budget, ensuring a focus on return on investment (ROI).
  7. Develop scalable mechanisms across multiple marketplaces.
  8. Maintain clear, consistent, and frequent communication with stakeholder teams regarding strategy, tactics, goals, and campaign performance.
Basic qualifications
  • Experience in marketing or marketing research.
  • Proficiency in using data and metrics to measure impact and identify improvements.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience presenting metrics and progress towards goals to senior leadership.
  • Technical expertise in planning, buying, implementing, and measuring fixed media across multiple channels, especially for a B2C product or service.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience working in a media agency or in-house agency (planning, insights, or commercials), ideally within the telecommunications sector.
