The Sr. Manager, Europe FP&A & Commercial Finance is a hands-on role that will oversee budgets/forecasts and enable smooth sales and operational processes across the eight European entities. The Sr. Manager will work across sales and operations functions in Europe to develop forecasts, report results and key trends to the regional commercial leaders, in addition to other core responsibilities including implementation of policies and procedures and controls. This role will partner with Commercial leaders responsible for driving core growth while improving operating margin. This role will manage the Accounts receivables team to improve DSOs and manage customer credit terms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Director of Global FP&A and Commercial Finance and working with the sales and operations teams in Europe, the Sr. Manager will be tasked with supporting the commercial team with achieving their core growth targets and the Operations team with maintaining internal controls around procurement and order management processes.
• Develop and lead, individually and through management of direct reports, all regional FP&A processes while coordinating with global finance teams to consolidate forecasts and actual results for Europe, including the Annual Budget and Monthly Forecast processes.
• Manage the Accounts receivable team for Europe, using daily management to improve DSO and collection efforts. Establish a credit framework for customers based on credit risk and business volume. Develop key metrics to manage an efficient AR process.
• Evaluate commercial opportunities and the standard sales procedures to optimize commercial strategy, streamline sales cycle support, and improve profitability (e.g. consignment agreements, discount controls, commissions, travel expenses, etc.) Report financial trends to the European commercial teams.
• Advocate and champion continuous improvement within the functional area as well as throughout the European organization using Danaher Business Systems.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• BS/BA in Accounting/Finance, CPA and/or MBA preferred
• 5+ years of increasing responsibility in various accounting and finance roles.
• Demonstrated proficiency in FP&A or Commercial Finance in a fast-paced, results-oriented global manufacturing organization
• Desired software expertise — Microsoft Dynamics and Hyperion Enterprise, mastery in Excel
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
