Job Description:

Our banking client is seeking a Sr. Mainframe Security Architect (ACF2 and RACF) to support a large mainframe implementation.

Contract duration: 3 months + extensions. % Remote work possible.

Responsibilities:

• Work with the client, sales, proposal managers, and vendors to architect solutions.
• Act as a bridge between the client and sales, proposal managers, project managers, system programmers, and infrastructure specialists.
• Collaborate with mainframe system programmers, project managers, and clients to deliver architected solutions.
• Document solutions, including roadmaps, design documents, diagrams, and project plans, using relevant tools like Word, Visio, MS Project, and PowerPoint.
• Gather business and technical requirements from various teams.
• Manage and balance tasks across multiple concurrent projects and clients.
• Mediate and manage architectural conditions, including contractual requirements.
• Educate, mentor, and coach teams on architectural techniques.
• Accurately document technical artifacts.
• Knowledge of SMP/E, system utilities, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen (HCD), Assembler language; ability to develop, maintain, and deploy Assembler code; experience with BMC & IBM Scheduler software, TSO, ISPF; understanding of problem and change management (eESM experience is a plus); installing and supporting program products, including tape management and job scheduling; JES2 and JES3 skills.

Must Have:

• Mainframe Security System ACF2 & RACF SME/Architect
• 8+ years experience as a z/OS System Programmer
• Knowledge of SMP/E, system utilities, ACF2, RACF, IO Gen (HCD), Assembler language
• Understanding of SYSPLEX concepts, familiarity with CPU keys, experience working with vendors.
