As a Lead Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within CIB Research Technology, you are a key part of the global team responsible for the engineering behind the CIB’s award-winning Research organization. You will serve as a technical leader, creating solutions that transform and evolve our platform to enable analysts to produce engaging, high-quality financial research. Our team owns the flagship JPMM Research Platform and the Content Creation Platform used for producing Research. We work across various stacks and technologies with broad autonomy. This role will focus on a key program to extend our platform across the Markets organization.

Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and implementation of solutions to extend, enhance, and modernize our platforms.
2. Balance hands-on coding with technical and people leadership within a scrum team.
3. Collaborate with Product partners to shape and drive the roadmap.
4. Coach and develop engineers within the team.
5. Ensure quality, stability, and resiliency of the team’s deliverables.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

1. Hands-on experience delivering complex solutions at scale.
2. Ability to balance technical, people, and product responsibilities in a leadership role.
3. Experience working with multiple stakeholders and collaborating with tech leads across an organization.
4. Skill in breaking down product requirements into achievable solutions and plans.
5. Excellent communication skills, especially in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
6. Deep expertise in one or more programming languages and system design or architecture.
