Key job responsibilities

1. Partner with business leaders and the HR team to champion organizational and people focused initiatives, spanning talent management, organization design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
2. Provide impactful coaching to guide business leaders and senior managers.
3. Leverage data-driven analysis to influence business partners with compelling recommendations.
4. Partner with global HR teams to support business unit needs and contribute to global HR initiatives.
5. Lead HR projects and key initiatives in collaboration with global and local HR teams.
6. Continuously enhance communication practices and employee engagement programs.
7. Analyze, design, and refine people programs, policies and practices to cultivate positive employee relations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical skills to drive effective solutions.
2. Leverage strategic planning and project management to navigate ambiguous situations and influence business leaders.
3. Engage diverse stakeholders at all levels and locations with excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills that foster an inclusive environment.
4. 3+ years of experience in employee/labor relations, or labor/employment law with a solid grasp of Japanese labor laws.
5. Holds a university degree.
6. Fluency in both Japanese and English, written and spoken.
7. Exhibits the ability to hire, assess and develop outstanding individuals.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. MBA, Master degree is preferred.
2. Project management and execution expertise.
3. Demonstrated agility in thriving within fast-paced and innovative environments.
4. Have the ability to function effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.
5. Over 8 years of experience as an HR business partner/leader with diverse businesses.
6. Proven track record in high-tech, entrepreneurial settings, requiring strong multitasking abilities.
