We are seeking a hands-on, experienced HR professional to lead and evolve HR operations across a diverse, high-touch workforce that includes a large non-union warehouse team and office staff. This role is a key part of a lean HR team where everyone wears multiple hats. The ideal candidate brings broad HR knowledge, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn and grow. This position offers deep exposure across all areas of HR, including compliance, benefits, labor relations, employee development, engagement, and HRIS systems. The role reports to the Chief People Officer and is a high-impact opportunity with meaningful development potential.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and continually improve core HR operations, including HRIS administration, compliance tracking, benefits, and leaves of absence coordination.
  • Lead or contribute to key HR projects including process improvements, employee development, employee engagement and safety.
  • Serve as primary HR support for warehouse and office employees, acting as a day-to-day resource for HR-related questions and concerns including coaching and support to managers on performance management, attendance, and policy adherence.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations and labor matters, partnering with legal or external counsel as needed.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient management of personnel data, workflows, audits, and reporting through the HRIS (e.g., Paylocity).
  • Oversee full-cycle leave of absence processes (FMLA, ADA, WA PFML, WC), coordinating with third-party providers and payroll.
  • Administer health and welfare benefits, open enrollment, ACA compliance, and employee communications.
  • Oversee the Labor and Relations processes.
  • Contribute to recruiting, onboarding, employee communications, and training initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with a strong foundation in HR operations and compliance and demonstrated interest or experience in HR business partnership.
  • Proven success supporting hourly workforces in warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics environments.
  • Skilled in using HRIS platforms such as Paylocity, ADP, or BambooHR, as well as benefits systems and leave administration tools. Paylocity but not required.
  • Experience with labor law, employment compliance, and labor relations.
  • Ability to lead or contribute to process improvements in lean, fast-moving environments.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and partner across all levels of the organization.
  • Known for attention to detail, and handling confidential information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot as needed.
  • Some experience analyzing HR data and summarizing insights for decision support.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly but not required.

Salary position base pay: $75,000 - $100,000 plus bonus and benefits.
