The Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Visualization team within our Core Product Engineering organization. Our team is focused on building a next generation visualization platform for our global customer base of Financial Advisors, Wealth Managers and their clients. We partner closely with a world-class team of designers and product managers, and put the experiences of our customers at the forefront of every initiative.

The successful candidate will be a senior technology leader who is comfortable in the greenfield space and looks forward to the challenge of innovating a scalable platform solution that is flexible enough to accommodate a variety of clients and partners.

What You'll Do

1. Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well-designed, testable code.
2. Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions.
3. Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers and partners on projects.
4. Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges.
5. Mentor other engineers on the team.
6. Participate in the design and development of a strategic product for Addepar.
7. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that's also scalable and extensible.

Who You Are

1. B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience).
2. Extensive software engineering experience.
3. Proficient in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks.
4. Proficient in backend development, specifically with Python or Java.
5. Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
6. A strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems.
7. Passion for implementing standard processes with a bias toward smart automation.
8. Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers.
9. Experience in data processing and analysis using SQL, PySpark, or similar frameworks is a plus.
10. A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities.
