Senior Culture and Engagement Specialist

12 month contract.

The Human Resources team support the entire HR needs of the business, working across all functions, to deliver real value to the business through expertise.

The Senior Culture and Engagement Specialist is responsible for designing and implementing programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and leadership development within the organization. They collaborate with various departments to create and maintain an organizational culture that values diversity and fosters an inclusive work environment. In addition this role helps to manager and support innovative global projects, engage teammates, and facilitate training (both at the leadership and individual contributor level).

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, implementation, execution and/or monitoring of Diversity & Inclusion processes and/or programs, to possibly include but not limited to:

  • Design, develop and deliver diversity, inclusion and belonging initiatives and or cultural change programs which complement Insight’s core vision, values, and behaviors (Hunger, Heart and Harmony).

  • Develop open and trusting relationships with stakeholders; champion the voice and visibility of equity within the organization and aim to reduce barriers which may prevent teammates from seeking assistance and or support.

  • Design and deliver training programs which support the strategic ambition of a compassionate and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Establish and maintain local communities specifically aimed at representing teammates from underrepresented and or marginalized groups, ensure participants are increasingly drawn from and are appropriately representative of the diverse workforce.

  • Manage the Teammate Resource Group process and assist in creating strategic plans, annually, for success of networking, education, and awareness.

  • Facilitate leadership and teammate training focused on diversity & inclusion; such as, inclusive leadership, allyship, unconscious bias, and Men as Allies.

  • Deliver training face-to-face and via virtual classroom (Teams, WebEx).

  • Support and coordinate global projects

  • Interface with other teams (HRBPs, HR Programs, Ops, training) to ensure the training-related components of the development frame-work are in place

  • Work with the analytics team to track and analyze all Diversity and Inclusion programs and processes.

  • Run and analyze reports for programs.

This list is not exhaustive, and teammates will be required to undertake additional responsibilities reasonably requested by their manager.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Previous experience working in a HR and or L&D function, and proactively facilitating change

  • Educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent work experience

  • A confident, enthusiastic, and proactive communicator

  • Ability to identify and implement effective systems to monitor performance

  • Ability to assess information and generate ideas to understand complex issues and reach solutions to complex problems

  • Proven ability to influence behavioural change through the design and application of D&I interventions

  • Previous experience of supporting change management programmes and or continuous improvement initiatives

  • Ability to understand business priorities and activities, and resolve conflicting demands for the same resources

  • Demonstrates experience of achieving outcome through the application of D&I interventions

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, stakeholders and or teammates

  • Previous experience working in a virtual team in highly matrixed and complex organisation

  • Strong project management skills through collaboration with multiple stakeholders

  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to negotiate, influence and generate confidence, trust, and respect

  • Experience of working within a globally diverse environment, showing a deep understanding of and keen interest in equality, diversity, and inclusion

  • Some education/experience in instructional design, facilitation, executive coaching/interface, and adult learning theory preferred

  • Committed to continuous learning and keeping up to date with all trends & changes in the field of DI&B
