About the role:
Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have research, industry predictions, and best practices for a broad range of world-leading organizations. A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner Research and Advisory, establishing themselves as a credible voice within their designated domain at local, regional, and global levels. Utilizing exceptional research and analytical skills, the Analyst plays a significant role in producing pragmatic and provocative research which Gartner clients consume and apply to propel their business toward key growth objectives. They are a trusted source of advice for clients, reinforcing Gartner’s value every day through virtual and in-person meetings, sales support calls, and Gartner conference presentations to discuss complex client challenges and offer appropriate recommendations.

About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Director who is an executive-level Digital Business Strategist, to join our team. This senior role will advise board-level executives on digital business strategy, business models and transformation, customer-centric business innovation, corporate venturing and scaling, and digital industry trends.
A record of successful delivery of strategy in a digital or hybrid business environment, and/or an established track record of executive-level thought-leadership in digital strategy.

What you will do:

1. Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged “must-have research” content
2. Develop new research and ideas through thought leadership and offer compelling, actionable approaches to clients' needs and requests that accelerate the client's ability to act
3. Develop in-depth analysis to identify the root cause of a client’s barriers or overall needs and reframe thinking to drive strategy forward
4. Demonstrate thought leadership in establishing research positions across a team of analysts
5. Bring provocative, independent insights to Gartner leaders that influence the research agenda
6. Research, analyze, and predict industry trends and shifts to provide clients with actionable insights
7. Provide clients and prospects with actionable advice via virtual or face-to-face interactions
8. Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, industry conferences, and client briefings
9. Support sales: serve as a Subject Matter Expert to help sales teams win C-level clients and drive retention and growth
10. Collaborate with peers and provide high-quality, timely peer reviews
11. Build credibility as an industry expert to represent Gartner’s research methodologies and strategy
12. Participate in innovation, ideation, and research discussions, building long-term relationships within Gartner research
13. Identify research process improvements or develop new processes to enhance service delivery
14. Mentor and coach junior research analysts
15. Encourage client engagement with Gartner Research as a strategic partner

What you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience or equivalent
• Subject matter expertise in executive-level Digital Strategy and Transformation
• Executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders
• Strong organizational skills and ability to produce high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines
• Excellence in research and client communication
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills
• Proficiency in data analysis, patterns, and frameworks
• Ability to explain complex concepts simply
• Experience presenting at large and small engagements
• Strong business, commercial, and financial acumen
• Deep knowledge of the global digital landscape
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, global team
• Willingness to travel internationally (~15%)
