Job description

Sr. De-Risking Manager, Sustainability Compliance

Job ID: 2848575 | Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch) - D70

Amazon aims to be Earth's most customer-centric company, offering a vast selection and low prices. Our Selling Partners (SPs) are vital to this vision, with over 2 million sellers on Amazon. In the EU, legislative changes are impacting SP experience, constraining selection, and increasing compliance challenges, which are primary barriers to SP launches.

Key Responsibilities

We are part of the Stores Compliance team, established in 2018, now with 400+ members across 6 regions, representing diverse nationalities and values such as innovation and inclusion. As the De-risking Manager, you will identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks related to program components, ensuring regulatory compliance. This role involves managing high-impact products and programs, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment. It offers high visibility with WW Director and VP groups.

You will:

  1. Collaborate with Pan EU account management teams to drive vendor outreach and de-risking initiatives.
  2. Plan and execute the rollout of program features based on legislative changes in sustainability.
  3. Report on initiative status, analyze metrics, and identify trends.
  4. Engage with stakeholders across US, India, and EU, including Tax, Legal, Operations, Tech, Retail, and Social Responsibility teams.
Additional Responsibilities

Define product vision and strategy, identify opportunities, build business cases, and align organizational priorities. Lead end-to-end feature launches, work with engineering and other teams to enhance products, and plan resources. Communicate releases and impacts to leadership. Implement online sustainability training for employees and promote educational content for vendors.

Basic Qualifications
  • Experience in positioning and selling innovative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay processes.
  • Experience in large-scale technology deals and B2B sales, especially in hunting new business.
