Job Description:

Sr. Data Product Designer to support the delivery of 'Platform as a Product' for a large insurance client.

Duration: 12 months (possibility of extension)

Location: Remote

The Lead Data Product Designer is a role on the Platform leadership team and is responsible for platform enablement and the creation of products shaped to the environment. Reporting to the Design Chapter Lead, this role focuses on enabling the ‘Platform as a Product’ by integrating all product strategies, capabilities, and features within the platform. The Lead Data Product Designer is involved in all stages of the feature delivery lifecycle, especially in helping the customer articulate needs and understand their journey context. This role is accountable for working through cross-platform and architecture dependencies and ensuring successful adoption of deliverables by the customer.

Must Have Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data architecture and design
• Experience with AWS EMR, S3, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker and related tools
• Experience with ETL technologies and BI tools
• Experience as a servant technology leader who has defined and implemented technical strategies within complex organizations to deliver digital products

Nice To Have Skills:

• Insurance/FI experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the platform leadership team to develop and maintain the Platform and Product roadmap
• Lead initial consultations and guide customers (business and IT) on platform and product capabilities
• Participate in Platform Incremental Planning (QIP) meetings to facilitate feature intake and clarification into the Platform backlog
• Support customers in onboarding to new solutions upon feature delivery
• Assist customers with best practices and knowledge articles from the platform team
• Define customer success metrics for the platform team and translate them into Platform OKRs
• Research and stay ahead of modern capabilities and features to meet customer demand
• Participate in design and sprint reviews with product teams, assessing deliverables from a customer perspective
• Conduct solution reviews with technical partners such as EA, Cloud CoE/SDE, Operations, Security, Data Governance team, etc.
• Work closely with technical leads and architecture teams to align solutions with architectural standards
• Diagnose and resolve complex problems related to data patterns and applications
• Maintain excellent customer relations and engage in high-priority interactions with clients
• Build strong relationships and proactively communicate across teams and organization levels
• Coach team members and promote skills development on build and deployment practices
• Lead by example to foster a data-driven culture, encouraging data analysis, solutions, and literacy among team members
