DESCRIPTION

Note: This position is for part-time employment and a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Maintain and follow strict confidentiality as customer privacy is our most important tenet.
  2. Work with a range of different types of data including, but not limited to: text, speech, audio, image, and video.
  3. Deliver high-quality labelled data, using provided guidelines to meet KPIs, utilizing in-house tools and software, as part of Amazon's commitment to developing and deploying AI responsibly.
  4. Demonstrate proficiency in generating high-quality human insight data across modalities including text, image, video, and audio.
  5. Make sound judgments and logical decisions when faced with ambiguous or incomplete information during tasks.
  6. Maintain an eye for detail and ability to pivot between different requirement categories instantaneously.
  7. Support daily operational deliverables for multiple task types assigned to you and the team.
  8. Analyze root causes, identify error patterns, and propose solutions to enhance labeling quality and outputs.
  9. Identify process and operational issues in Standard Operating Procedures and tools, suggesting changes to unblock operations.
  10. Provide ownership in floor support to clarify internal queries during execution as needed.
A day in the life

We seek a ML Data Associate (MLDA) to perform foundational labeling functions, such as dialogue evaluation on speech, text, audio, and video data.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • An Associate's Degree or related work experience
  • CEFR C1+ or equivalent fluency in Italian
  • Written and spoken knowledge of English (CEFR B2+)
  • Strong business writing skills for reports, proposals, and professional correspondence
  • Advanced reading comprehension for analyzing complex documents
  • Developed analytical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement detailed instructions across projects
  • Proficient research skills for gathering and synthesizing information
  • Attention to detail in managing complex tasks and documents
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • 2+ years of professional work experience with task execution ability
  • Experience leveraging open-source resources for research
  • Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances
  • 2-3 years project coordination or management experience
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships across departments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
