Role Description

A Hakkoda Data Architect will lead architectural discussions and design exercises to build and automate large-scale data migration projects with clients and teams across the US and Costa Rica. The candidate must have technical experience analyzing system requirements and implementing migration methods for existing data, with hands-on experience migrating critical databases across multiple platforms. The role involves developing secure and effective database migration solutions and offers opportunities for leadership and personal growth within a collaborative, innovative culture.

What We Are Looking For

We seek individuals experienced in data architecture, database migration, and data pipeline optimization, with a focus on data integrity and security. Strong communication skills and the ability to guide clients and teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data warehousing, BI, or analytics, preferably in consulting
• 3+ years as an Architect
• 3+ years experience in Cloud platforms
• Bachelor’s Degree in CS, IS, Mathematics, MIS, or related field
• Experience with migration, dev/ops, ETL/ELT tools like DataStage, Informatica, Matillion
• Project management experience with Scrum and Agile
• Ability to create actionable insights and leverage metrics for business decisions
• Experience managing large-scale technology programs in consulting

Nice To Have

• 6-12 months experience with Snowflake
• Knowledge of Snowflake design patterns and migration architectures
• Experience with Snowflake features like Snowpipe, roles, and security
• SQL scripting and cloud experience on AWS (Azure, GCP are a plus); Python scripting is a plus
