Prime Video is a premium streaming service offering a vast collection of TV shows and movies, including Amazon Originals and exclusive licensed content. Customers can subscribe to add-on channels, rent or buy new release movies and TV box sets on the Prime Video Store. Prime Video operates in over 200 countries and territories worldwide, in a dynamic environment focused on customer innovation.

We are seeking a (Senior) Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) for our Prime Video Channels (Add-On) business across Europe. The role involves working closely with business and finance teams to build analytical and machine learning solutions that enhance performance, focusing on customer insights, engagement, and process optimization. The BIE will act as a consultant, providing insights, analysis tools, and actionable learnings to influence strategy and decisions across multiple European territories.

Key job responsibilities

1. Collaborate with Marketing, Partner Management, Content Acquisition, other BIEs, and leadership to identify data needs.
2. Develop mechanisms to generate insights about the business.
3. Establish and maintain self-service dashboards for the team.
4. Provide concrete, actionable insights and recommendations for leadership based on robust analysis.
5. Create new metrics to measure key business inputs and outputs.
6. Support automation of data processes.
7. Lead large-scale data and analytical projects to scale the business across Europe and globally.
8. Work with finance teams for regular analysis and reporting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with experimental design and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Knowledge of data science, machine learning, and data mining.
• Experience handling large datasets (multi-TB).
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders to translate needs into data solutions.
• Experience in the data/BI space.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Quicksight.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience presenting results to senior leadership.
• Master’s degree in statistics, data science, or a related quantitative field.
