Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer, GFP Analytics

Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and wondered how that package got to you so fast? The Global Fleet and Products (GFP) Analytics team works with large amounts of novel data to provide insights that help deliver billions of packages annually. Our focus ranges from high-level to granular insights, supporting entitlements, safety, operational excellence, and strategic initiatives like fleet electrification.

We are seeking a customer-obsessed Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to shape data usage for strategic initiatives in the Last Mile space. As a BIE on the GFPA team, you will develop technical solutions and influence critical business decisions across multiple organizations and regions.

Success in this role requires excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. You will handle complex initiatives with ambiguity, advocate for customers, and use data to drive organizational change.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engineer critical input and output metrics.
2. Create performance metrics to measure operational performance, identify root causes, and develop action plans globally.
3. Influence the organization's BI strategy.
4. Mentor and develop team members.
5. Collaborate with product, technology, and analytics teams to develop tools and dashboards.
6. Communicate with internal stakeholders and external audiences.
7. Promote best practices in operational excellence, data modeling, and analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
• Knowledge of design of experiments and statistical analysis.
• Experience with AWS technologies.
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python) and advanced SQL skills.
• Understanding of data science, machine learning, and data mining.
• Experience working with business stakeholders to translate data into insights.
• Data visualization skills using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience managing and communicating results to senior leadership.
• Knowledge of operations or supply chain domains.
